My wellness journey has run the gamut. I went from a fast-food obsessed teenager to a green-juice fiend after discovering yoga. Then I over-corrected, rebelled against the rigidity of the health and wellness industry, and leaned heavily into the “Bad” in Bad Yogi. Fast forward to now where my health matters to me more than trends. Something about getting into your 30s and beyond really makes you take a closer look at your food choices and what it means to be Healthy, am I right? But how do we define health? What can we do to ensure our annual bloodwork isn’t so stressful? What should our plates look like to maintain an optimal weight? Keto, plant-based, gluten-free — what diet is truly best? How do we feed ourselves and what’s the science behind the why?

These workshops will answer all of that and SO much more; expect a thorough deep-dive into all things Nutrition, but without the overwhelm. My goal here is to empower you with the knowledge I wish I had 15 years ago. By the time you’re finished, you’ll feel comfortable reading food labels and making better choices. You’ll feel confident about how to build a balanced plate for every meal, you’ll know which ingredients and foods to prioritize and which ones to minimize– and why. And most importantly, you’ll walk away with awareness and an ease that replaces any food fear or anxiety.

We don’t know what the future has in store for us, but we do know our nutrition has a profound impact on our health and which genes get expressed, regardless of our predisposition or not. If knowledge is power, this will help you fly. Who am i?

I’m the co-Founder of Bad Yogi, I’ve been teaching yoga for over 17 years, and I’m a NASM Certified Personal Trainer specializing in Corrective Exercise. I’m a Certified Nutrition Coach and have been a devoted student of the human body for over a decade. I’m a wife, mom, and business owner, so I constantly feel like “I don’t have time,” which means I have even LESS time for feeling aimless or confused about the most basic skill any adult should have: how to feed yourself properly. You feel me? I designed these workshops to be an answer to the most common questions around nutrition and eating. I’m unmoved by the latest trends or health “secrets” because they’re mostly total BS. My ultimate goal is to put you on the path towards a long, healthy life that you feel good in using three modalities: yoga, strength training, and nutrition. You can tick off the first two in Bad Yogi Studio, and we’re gonna put a dent in the Nutrition piece right here. I may be a Bad Yogi, but if I’m being totally honest, teaching this community has been one of my greatest joys; I practice to feed my teaching, but I teach to feed my life.
