Q&A: How do I start loving my body?

“Loving my body” is a phrase that makes some of us cringe. It’s like, “ooo, yeah I don’t think I can until ______,” or “if it wasn’t for this one thing, then maybe…”

Living in constant doubt of our own worthiness is an exhausting place to be, isn’t it? Wouldn’t it be nice if we could accept who we are and what we look like, enjoy the body we’re given, and live our lives fully, without fear of judgment or criticism from others?

We absolutely CAN do all of this, but it has to start with us. It starts by working on how we feel on the inside.

I struggle with this notion myself, and my own self-acceptance is a constant work in progress. In today’s Q&A I’ll share my personal best practices with you on how I do work on this daily.

This Q&A was inspired by the post I put on social media yesterday. The image and message hit home for so many of us and I thought it would be the perfect topic for today.

Over to you! What are YOUR best practices for finding body acceptance and self love? What are you working on loving?

Yes! This was so needed this week after Thanksgiving, where we are so grateful for everything in our lives except our bodies. I find myself fat shaming myself after the holidays and this was the perfect pick me up. Thanks Erin!

This is a exactly the attitude I’m working towards. I have a daughter and I want her to hear me speak positive things about my body so she knows to love the way she is ❤️

I love your advice of using your body! For me, the way I am learning to love my body is by using it, and by feeding it wonderful, yummy, healthy meals! Giving it good fuel is like an affirmation of loving it because I’m giving it the tools to function – and it pays me back by doing awesome things for me like enabling me to run and play with my dogs! Win-win.

Side note – I’ve gotta get some makeup tips from you cause you look gorgeous in this video!
