100 Poses Day 21 Pose 21: Childs Pose
Childs pose can be a great resting pose in the middle of your practice (or if you’re at work and just not feeling it that day 😉)
This is a pose that can be done at any time during a practice.
Enjoy!

October 21, 2019 at 6:00 amHi Erin,
I’ve always had a hard time with child’s pose. My problem is the tops of my feet and ankle seem to be too tight to let them lie flat down. It doesn’t seem to be my knee joint and more of my ankle joint. Seems to be too much pressure and weight. I have tried putting a cushion under my ankles and that helps but wanted to ask if you had any suggestions on how I could fix or work down to being completely flat sitting on my feet. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks!

November 19, 2019 at 6:19 pmHave you tried putting a cushion (or a long, firm body pillow) inbetween the legs long ways? So it elevates the body a bit so you’re not putting the bodyweight on the ankles?

November 9, 2019 at 8:19 amThere is a variation of child’s pose where the toes are together but the knees are quite separate, which I personally prefer. Is that mainly just preference or does it “do” anything different (stretch/rest different areas, etc) than a variation with knees together? Thanks, quite enjoying this series.

November 19, 2019 at 6:17 pmIt’s a bit of both! It’s a preference thing definitely but also sometimes is easier for people with bigger bellies (say, if they are pregnant or something), or might have more back flexibility. Whereas knees together may be a more comfortable preference for those with back problems.
