Beginner Yoga Free Yoga Class

FREE CLASS! Yoga for Heightened Senses

If you’re up for anything, this class is for you. We’re doing something TOTALLY different for today’s flow, so get ready! It’s super important to truly FEEL our bodies as we practice, but that element is easy to forget when we’re worried about what we look like, if this is right, or if your leg should be a little more bent, for example.

This isn’t a class directly from the Perfect Body Yoga Program, but the intention is very inspired by PBYP: focus on what your body feels like, be grateful for what your body can do in this moment, and allow the journey to unfold however it needs to. No judgment 🙂


Over to you! What did you think?! I was SO wobbly and a few times I felt my hand or foot go off the mat, haha. It’s crazy how something so familiar can be totally new with a simple tweak, right?

    Thank you for yet another amazing class Erin. This flow felt so familiar but completely different at the same time .. not sure that made total sense but I hope you know what I mean. What a fantastic idea, I didn’t get her name but I’m so glad she wrote in with this request and that you did it. I really enjoyed it!

    Did anyone else have to wear a blindfold? This was really unnerving for me, not sure I liked it, but glad I tried it. Of course, I don’t even like to close my eyes for a minute or two at the end of most classes. 🙂 I did notice that I paid more attention to my breath than what dust balls and toys were under my couch though. Ha ha ha!

    I loved this flow. I work with children with visual impairment and this gave me some perspective on how they deal with everything that comes at them in life. Thanks for that.

    I woke up feeling so awful this morning – something I ate yesterday was not agreeing with me. When I first started this class every part of my body hurt – even in child’s pose, but by the end body parts starting relaxing and loosening up, and the child’s pose at the end felt good. Since I spent a lot of time this weekend sitting (mostly in the car or playing violin), a slow flow was a great way to feel better about my Monday!

    wow, this was great… perfect for my 2nd rest day from the PBYP week 4. I’m unfortunately a lot of a clock person, always looking how long I’m training, how many minutes left and so on, even when I’m having a good time… now with eyes closed, I had no feeling for the time, and I made it, I never opened my eyes the whole time… and the time went so fast… when Erin said, bring your hands to your heart center and blink your eyes open. I was like wow, this was fast, is the class really over… thank you Erin for a great class and looking forward to start week 5 tomorrow.

    I was already thinking that perhaps I should join PBYP, but the amount of money made me hesitate for some time now. After this class, I just knew I had to join. Can’t wait to start!

    I had time to do this class before dinner and was so glad I did. Keeping my eyes closed was definitely something I had to concentrate on, as I unconsciously felt myself peak once or twice – when focusing on “feeling” the pose instead of watching was pretty awesome. Thanks!

    Fantastic! My 5 year old is legally blind and it is good perspective to appreciate her world. She happens to love yoga as well. When I first started practicing yoga I would often close my eyes. Helped me to really focus on what I was supposed to be feeling. Thanks!

    The premise of this class is amazing and the class does not disappoint!

    I teach at a school for people with visual impairments and I have often thought that you decribed things so well that it would be easy for someone who could not see the video to do a pose accurately.

    This felt great and was mad more ammusing by the fact that weedwacking was happening right outside my widow which made me REALLY have to listen!

    Kudos to the lady who does yoga, full credit to her!!!! It is difficult to do yoga with eyes open never mind closed however I managed it without opening till the very end!!! It was soooo relaxing and I think I shall incorporate this technical more often as I was not that tense around the neck and shoulders. Another great session Erin 🙂

    I just loved this sequence!!, it made me so much aware of the movements and tiny changes than the body goes through as we moved from one asana to another. My left side stronger than the right ?

    This was really enjoyable (and my first one from you!), but also hilarious because my kitten kept jumping on my hair and trying to sit between my legs during child’s pose. Since I had my eyes closed I never really knew when he was nearby – definitely an adventure!

      Hilarious! My kitten was doing the same thing! And I found myself trying to sense where he was with my eyes closed but he still surprised me!

    This class helped me concentrate more on what my body was doing, less on how I thought it should be doing it. Kneeling lunge was almost easier with my eyes closed.I don’t think I wobbled as much as I usually do.

    i LOVED this class and I loved reading all the comments. I am the one who requested this class from Erin. I reached out to her by email and she responded right away with the same positive energy and easy charisma that she exudes right through each and every video. Erin, you are one of my favorite YOGI’s. With low vision, there is a place of balance between giving enough information and verbal description and “too much talk, not enough breath”- it’s a gift and you have it. Thank you for doing this class-. It felt wonderful. Frenchie, my Guide Dog slept through it, but she will work on her up-dog now. May be the next challenge will be ‘balancing poses’….. that takes a bit of inner vision and a whole lot of breath. Whatever you do, I will be there with bells on!!!

    I loved this class! The sensation of having my eyes closed the whole time was amazing! I was so much more focused on the “feels”, and plan on trying to incorporate it into future classes! It is crazy how basic poses felt so different with one small tweak!

    This was a neat experience to sense the movements more than ever before. I enjoyed the balance exercise and being able to see how well I understood my placement among objects around me. I was tempted to open my eyes several times, but I challenged myself to accept myself how I was and trust myself to determine what was right by how I felt. Beautiful experience. Thank you.

    This was great. It reminded me of a class I did on holiday in Portugal last year. The class consisted of doing the same sequence (kind of an extended sun sal) for several rounds – the first round we learnt the sequence, the second round we really tuned into our breath and matched the movement with our breathing, the third round we closed our eyes and did the whole sequence like that. It was challenging in places but really helped focus in on the feeling of the movements, such a good idea. Thanks.

    I save all my Monday class emails to a yoga folder and do them when I can, so I’m a little behind in my classes. I will say that this was an awesome class. I was a little wobbly in some poses, but it was amazing to hear the birds chirp outside and really feel my body in each pose.
