FREE Class! How to make basic yoga poses more challenging

Happy Monday, yogis!

I hope you had a wonderful weekend! It’s cloudy as I write you this morning from France, but I’m not mad about it– the lingering Floridian tendencies in me LOVE storms, rain, and cloudy weather, so anytime I wake up to gray skies, I’m a happy girl ๐Ÿ™‚

Also, I’m officially back in the swing of my yoga practice + regular exercise and I’d been looking for ways to make the poses that show up regularly in my yoga practice a bit more challenging. Since so many of you have been practicing for a while, I thought you’d want to do the same.

So, if your regular yoga practice could use a little more challenge, this class is for you. Try these modifications to add some oomph to your next class and let me know how it goes!

Over to you! What’s your favorite way to make your practice more challenging?ย

[Free ebook] Stop worrying whether youโ€™re doing a pose right, or if you are doing something that will eventually require a few trips to the emergency room. ๐Ÿš‘

Yes, sign me up for the 30 Day Challenge. I have been holding poses longer to keep my practice more challenging and also doing poses that I do not like — like chair pose, double-sided pigeon …

Would LOVE to do a 30 day challenge. I am brand new (under a month) to Yoga so a daily new class will help tremendously in getting this to be a habit. Thanks for doing this Erin!

OMG OMG OMG so glad the 30 day yoga challenge will be back!!! I couldn’t click on any link but if I’m part of the bad yogi club will I get it sent to me??? Yay, so freaking excited Erin! Also, loved today’s class! I love having options on my favorite yoga poses (PBYP left me so much more muscular and flexible so I need more challenges)

Well, d’uh! Of course I’d love a 30 day challenge, because I ws never more motivated than with that series! Even now I’ll sometimes do 2 or 3 segments in a row, just to do a longer yoga session. That wouldn’t hurt would it now? I can’t always devote 30-45 minutes (let alone an hour!) to it but 3 of your 10-12 minute segments in a row? That’s fun!

I’m definitely going to follow the challenge! I’ve done all the classes of the old one, but not 30 days in a row. So this time I will! I’m following another one 30-days challenge right now (I’m done a couple days before the October the 1st) and I really like how it motivates me and makes me looking forward to my practice!
