Life As Bad Yogi Popular

Bad Yogi Style Inspo: Erin’s Boots!

So, umm, I definitely just referred to myself in the third person. That was awkward…

Since the blog is home to lots of people now, I didn’t want to say “me” because “me” could be anyone, right? Well, this post is already off to a terrible start, so let’s just move on and pretend this convo never happened, mm-kay?

ANYWAY! What was the point here? Oh yes, I remember… Those yoga pics on my Instagram? They’re alright. The food pics on Facebook? Not bad. But any picture where you can see the ankle boots I’m wearing? FUGGEDABOUTIT. It’s all you guys want to know about! I’m no fashionista, but since you asked, here’s where I got my boots!

1) Melvin & Hamilton.
Currently drooling all over myself because most of their stuff is on SALE right now, but anyway, this is the newer version of my brown ankle booties that I always get asked about and am wearing below. Pricey, but worth every penny. Super comfy, I’ve probably walked over 1,000 miles in them, and they age beautifully. I re-soled the bottoms a couple months ago, so they’re like new now.

2) Summit White Mountain.
I originally bought these at Nordstrom but I think the black is discontinued now. LOVE the brown version though… Honestly, I like the brown ones even better! These are comfortable once you wear them in. Kinda stiff for a minute, but now they’re super soft and well worn!

3) Vince Camuto.
The ones I have are from last year, so they’re slightly pointier (and probably less comfortable) than the newer versions (on the right). Highly recommend! They’re super comfortable… I walked around Monaco for a good 4 hours in these, no problem.

4) And the latest are by Guess!
These were a gift from the Frenchman and I’m obsessed. Been wearing them with leggings or dresses with black tights.

Damn – that first pair is so great! I love how you can pull a slim pair of jeans over top – have you ever noticed what a hassle it is to find boots that don’t look stupid with all but the tightest jeggings stuffed into them!? I just might have to splurge on a pair of those.

Thanks for sharing Erin – you’re well on your way to being an inspiration in more than yogi-ness! 🙂

(PS: Practial question: on the website it says to order a size down. Was that true for you?)

thank you so much! 🙂 and yes, i did get a size down and they were a bit snug at first, but since they’re real leather they stretched and formed to my feet well with a little time.

Laughed a little too much at this. I do this all the time. ‘Ooh those shoes’ completely obvious to the pictures message for a few seconds. Love it!!

What a loving post… so nice to take a few minutes to think about what makes your kid unique and special. I'm sure this post will mean a lot to Birdie. You're a great mom, it's just so crystal clear how much you love your lovelies. 🙂 Happy Birthday to Birdie!
