Bad Yogi Resolutions Revisited

Bad Yogis, it’s Spring… time to revisit our commitment to New Year’s resolutions! This year, one of my resolutions was to nurture my creative side. When I was younger I wrote stories and poems, and sketched as much as I could. Now, I find it hard to get back to that ingenuity. I made a promise to myself to do things throughout the year to cultivate my creativity.

My Very Ambitious New Year’s Creative To Do List:

  • Continue adult ballet lessons
  • Yoga 3-4x a week
  • Learn hand calligraphy
  • Write stories from childhood/family memories
  • Read more and attend book club
  • Visit more art museums

I am happy to say I’ve been doing a good job with most of these! I haven’t written any stories yet but I have TONS of topics saved in a nice list on my phone (do I like lists!?). Most proudly I have been doing yoga more frequently and friends, it feels so good! My hips are slowly starting to open and I feel the hard work paying off.

Bad Yogis, do you ever have things align perfectly in your life? This has been happening a lot to me recently and I’m trying to listen to the universe and do what it’s telling me!

One of the editors of Bad Yogi approached a group of us and asked if anyone would like to be a contributor. It immediately resonated with me. Does this fit with my creative goal for the year? Yes. Do I want to be a part of the Bad Yogi community, especially given my new commitment to my yoga practice? Yes! I sent in my information and here I am.

Hey, I’m Stacy. And I’m so excited for this journey with you all.

Tell me what your resolutions are and how you’ve been accomplishing them! Have your resolutions changed into something better? Has something amazing aligned in your life recently?

Ooooh, I took ballet classes for six months a few years ago. I was the only adult in a class of 10-year-olds, but you take what you can get it! It was WONDERFUL and I still miss it.

My resolutions seem to start strong then slowly fade away. One was to clean the clutter from my life. Actually doing well with that one but the daily exercise is not working out. Starting yoga and love it.
