I AM Yoga Challenge Day 6: I am optimistic
Today’s mantra is I am optimistic.
Optimism takes effort to cultivate so it’s no wonder so many of fall into stretches of time where we feel highly negative. If we don’t stay on top of our mindset and set out to train our optimism, negativity creeps in.
Today’s class is a meditation that will help you strengthen your optimism until your negativity disappears to an afterthought.
Over to you! Are you more naturally optimistic or pessimistic?

My default mode seems to be one of pessimism. However, I have learned to mentally flip the switch to optimism whenever a pessimistic thought occurs. I’ve even made a kind of game out of it by trying to find the good thing in something that I want to think of as a bad thing at first.

I definitely used to be a lot more pessimistic, but I started really working on re-training my impulse to always anticipate problems about a year ago. It has been really good for me. I realized that a lot of pessimism is rooted in fear of disappointment, but that once you start letting go of that, it can be very liberating. I really enjoyed the meditation

Filter of Optimism… I love it ❤ I not only felt optimistic but peaceful as well.

I feel that I am pretty optimistic about a lot, but these last few weeks I have been feeling a lot of anger, discouragement and defeat. I started this to help try and heal my heart towards these feelings and today I did lay down for this and I did filter a lot of the feelings I have been having and setting them to the side after trying to find the good in what is happening and it did make me feel so much more okay with them. Thank you again and always for doing this.

Needed and nice this day. I did have my morning time w God already out side this morning in a heavy misty fog- amazing – but this was my lagniappe!! Busy brain this morning made me rewind you three time until I could hush it!

When I was younger I had so many problem, I was sooo extremely negative. One day I started and turned everything around in my head. I found out, that optimism is really a mindset and YOU can choose how you look on your thoughts. You can either make them negative or positive. If you train the positive side a couple of weeks, it gets pretty easy to go around in the world with a big smile on your face! 🙂

Perfect timing to add this video to a series again. I have trouble staying optimistic, especially with everything going on right now. This was a refreshing meditation. Thanks!
