Life As Bad Yogi

Vlog 4/1: I feel hungover

Legitimately felt SO hungover this morning which is no fun when you’re not actually hungover, but just feel like crap from eating too much garbage.

Why is eating healthy so much less fun than eating unhealthy? Why can’t I just eat pizza and chocolate and candy all day every day for the rest of my life?

Here’s today’s vlog!

Over to you! Have you ever done something like this? How was it? How long did you make it before calling it quits?! ๐Ÿ˜‰

I haven’t done anything like this before. Except when I was pregnant and gave up caffeine but as soon as I stopped nursing I hit the caffeine. Now instead of drinking caffeine I take 1/2 a caffeine pill in the morning and no other caffeine the rest of the day or I’m up all night. I’m going to try this no sugar detox and continue to do yoga daily. This will be a challenge for this chocolaholic, but it needs to be done!

Last night was hard because I’m also on my cycle which is when I want sweet stuff 24/7. Today hasn’t been to vad but it’s only 11 am here. My asthma is acting up today too so we’ll see how it goes.

After dinner when my boyfriend is craving something sweet he eats a cup of frozen mango. Maybe you could try something like that as a replacement when you do have a sugar craving. Best of luck!

I just quit sugar too! My last “sugarday” was Monday (so of course I ended the day by eating a whole lot of brownies and drinking coke). It’s not the first time I quit sugar, and I have never felt like I was hungover when quitting. I’m a total chocoholic, and this time I really lost control to the point where I have eaten litteraly kilos of chocolate since new year (and my jeans tell me I’ve gained a few kilos too). The strange thing is that as soon as I really make up my mind to quit, it’s not that difficult. It’s almost like chocolate stops to exist in my mind. I’m also trying to get more acitve, since I want to be strong and healthy, but that is a lot harder than staying away from sugar. I’ve been on 1 hour hikes every other day this week, and the hardest part is definitely getting out of the door. I’m also doing a bit of yoga (almost) every evening, but only like 15-30 minutes. I’m looking forward to following you on your journey these 30 days. Good luck!

Okay… I’m with you… I have a huge chocolate habit, not just chocolate, but expensive dark chocolate! It’s horrible! I will eat a whole big 16oz bar in a day if I let myself!! So! No more for the month of April!!! Because Erin is with me!!! Lol!

Good luck with everything Erin. It will get easier. I try not to eat too much sugar. If I do start having a craving, I will eat some fruit or green tea with honey and then, brush my teeth. For some reason, that seems to help. Hang in there! ๐Ÿ™‚

Ughffff man, I feel you. Today I feel like crap from a binge on Almond Joys and tropical trail mix:\ it’s amazing how shitty, yummy food can make you feel.
