The Big Change for Bad Yogi Magazine

Last week I announced that I was permanently closing new enrollments for the original PBYP and Cleanse Kit (you can still join until January 31st!), then I teased a little announcement about the magazine… there’s a couple more changes I have up my sleeve for next week, but as for the magazine?

Well, here it is:
I’m changing Bad Yogi Magazine back to a good old fashioned blog 🤗🎉When we transitioned to a magazine, we invited people from the community to contribute and write with us. I wanted more voices, more opinions, more everything from the community. And while I loved that, I found that– oddly enough– it made me feel disconnected from you; there was a layer between us. I didn’t like it! So in 2020, I’m taking it back for myself and going old school.

Don’t worry though– it’ll still be a place where I share stuff YOU want to see and request. It’s in your hands, just differently. I want to hear what you want to hear about. I want to know how I can help you reach your goals in 2020. I also want to share what’s going on in my life personally. I want it to be a space that feels useful to your practice, but also a place where I can connect to you as Erin again.

What will it look like?
You’ve gotten used to going to badyogi.com/blog and seeing a homepage full of articles. The latest, the most popular, trending, food stuff, yoga, fitness, and so much more. Plus, it was from all kinds of different voices. I was obviously contributing, but there were lots of writers.

Now it’ll be similar topics, but just from me. Plus some more personal posts about my own life, behind the scenes in business, motherhood, what I eat in a day– things like that. AND the layout is going to be way simpler. Just a single page with the latest post up top and going in chronological order from there. Easy, peasy.

That’s pretty much it! I hope you’ll enjoy this change (throwback?!) and stay with me on this journey.

So tell me:
What do you want to see the most around here in 2020?

Love that you’re going back to just you! You were the reason I still frequented Bad Yogi!

Great change!!! What do you do when you struggle with motivation? How do you break a huge project/goal into smaller steps? How do you plan? Anything really!

Love the simplicity! I would love to see more about how you stay organized (both in your business and in your life), how you stick to a schedule (and what you do to stay productive when that schedule goes out the window), and of course everything you’re willing to share about life in France!

I’d love to see posts on how workouts/strength training go hand-in-hand (to motivate me to do more of both). Also maybe a weekly wellness/mindfulness challenge (ex. do this 10-min yoga routine every morning, eat veggies w/ breakfast every day this week, write down 5 things you love, etc.). And of course more photos of Theo!

I personally would like modification poses to make it easier than regular poses…example I cant do pigeon ..1/2 pigeon or pyramid…ile should I use a block? How? What’s a safe?
I know it’s all about time and practice but it would be nice for those who are inflexible or new to yoga vs those who are super flexible

Nutrition made simple. Like recipes that use real food. I mean like real milk. I know that people can’t drink cows milk or do because they are vegan, I totally get that. But I want to eat healthy I just can’t do the almond milk, coconut milk, etc. That so many “healthy” recipes have. All the healthy nutrition plans I have found have foods I’ve never heard of or items that are expensive in the midwest because they are more plentiful on the west coast. Just struggling with finding a balance

I love that you’re going back!! While I did enjoy reading the other posts here and there, I came to Bad Yogi because of you and for you. As far as 2020, you being relatable on so many levels from nutrition to physical health to mental health and beyond helps to encourage me. That were all ok and in it together. I love seeing the new motherhood transitions you’re experiencing and how you handle it as a family and an individual. I haven’t been able to have kids so I feel like I get to see a glimpse with you. And how real and relatable you make that is priceless! Oh and I love the simplicity of the chronological design.

Your journey into more plant based eating. I’m thinking about trying to make all of my lunches plant based and am curious about good recipes that are tasty and fairly simple to make.
