Q&A: How did I get in shape for my wedding?!

So, how’d I get fit for my wedding?

Our wedding is right around the corner (!!!) and I know I’ve been talking a little about my gym and yoga routines, but I haven’t gone into great detail. I’ve gotten a bunch of questions about both over the past few months on IG, so I thought I’d share in a (very awkward) Q&A (do you really expect anything different at this point?)…

    This is a funny one! My wedding is around the corner too 😉 I´m doing the Perfect Body Yoga Program and for the rest, I keep it simple. When I can, I go cycling and in general, I eat healthy 🙂 Thanks for sharing!

    I love you Erin and your whole yogi/life philosophy. My only question is why you felt the need to eliminate dairy?? Refined sugar and even gluten I get. But why dairy and gluten for that matter if your not allergic or intolerant.

    My wedding was 30 years or so ago. But my sons wedding is in a year. I also want to look like I take care of myself (which I mostly do). Thanks Erin. This really gives me a jumping off point.

    I completely agree! My workouts/meals need to be simple or I just won’t do it. I’ve tried meal plans over the years with recipes that have an ingredient list a mile long and things I’ve never even HEARD of before. Obviously I wasn’t doing it. Too burdensome, too much time. I started doing strength training every other day as you had previously said that’s what you do and I find it quite manageable!

    Thank you for everything you do and I can’t wait to see wedding pics!! You are going to have an amazing time and just remember … it’s only one day. Have fun and don’t stress out if something isn’t “perfect”. As long as there is good food, booze, and music … it’s a success!

    Oh my goodness, this is exactly what I needed to hear. Not because I’m getting married (I’ve been so 20 years) but because I have fallen off of my routine and can’t seem to get back on. This Q&A has inspired me and reminded me that I need to go back basics, keep the plan simple (yet effective) and enjoy feeling good! Thanks so much Erin!!!

    As always your truth and honesty is what sets you apart from other yogi instructors! You get the average person who has a busy life style, tries to fit in to their lives a workout no matter what age you are. You are spot on about what you put into your body is a priority. Cheats are a must occasionally but like you said if you don’t feed your body the right nutrients no matter how many workouts, weights you life, runs you do or even yoga won’t make the difference. Your work begins in the kitchen.
