100 Poses Day 1 Pose 1: Bow Pose

For Pose number one we chose Bow Pose. Called so, because the full expression looks like an archers bow. This is a nice, deep backbend and chest opener.

Make sure you’re good and warmed up before attempting this pose!

Enjoy!

Bow post is one of my favorites. I love the chest and shoulder opening, plus squeezing all of my back muscles together feels great!

Hi! Love this pose but have always wondered, which is the correct option: onde the knees are off the floor, should I be balancing on my pelvis or lower belly? In doubt, I just rock a bit 🙂

Hello Ana! So, it’s a little bit of a both in bow. The top of your pelvis and the lower belly will be contacting the floor. But, of course, never do anything that is painful!
