Original Yoga Challenge Day 4: Yoga Workout for the Abs

Today’s class is all about the abs! We’ll have a few “ab” days over the course of the challenge, and I’ll be honest with you– it won’t be easy, but if you put your mind to it, I know you can do it.

And think of it this way: it’s only about 10 minutes at a time, and you can almost anything for 10 minutes, right? πŸ˜‰ I thought so.

Over to you! Are you feelin’ that burn?! It’s so satisfying, right? πŸ˜‰ Do you love ab work or hate it? I’m 50/50 usually, haha!

    Noooooo, no more abbbbbsssss, I hurrrrrttttt πŸ™‚ Seriously, that was intense. I probably did everything half-way, but my abs are not my forte, but yay me nonetheless. Thanks Erin, the challenge is a good one, and I love your teaching style.

    I woke up excited for today’s challenge then when it started I grumbled about doing abs. But I have to say, I feel much better now! Also, this was my first abs workout since having a baby. Woot! Good morning Tuesday! πŸ™‚

    Half way through, I thought to myself, NNNNOOOOOOOOO you gotta quit. Then I realized i was HALF WAY THROUGH! HA! And remembered the reason WHY I am doing this! Great class Erin! Looking forward to PART 2 tomorrow!

    Love this challenge, and you made me laugh when you ask not to eat before day 4, but living in Bali I actually get the videos late afternoon and today I was starving after work so had to do my abs right after eating and AUMmmmm I could feel it ! Haha ! Merci sister

    I guess I’m a bit more than 50-50 on ab work now that I have been doing a lot of it and my ab muscles have gotten to be pretty strong, so it’s a lot more fun than it used to be. I was feeling a burn in my hip flexors and I wondered if I was doing something wrong until you said they tend to get tight, so that made me feel better. Now that I’m done I feel thinner; I always like that.

    Definitely not for beginners. I could hardly do any of it as it was really hurting my lower back. I could not force myself to keep my lower back on the ground for the first exercise. Just not flexible enough, I guess. And the side plank-like push up things were harder on my shoulders and arms than on my abs. I definitely am starting to question if these are really intended for beginners. Especially when the teacher struggles to get through them too. Feeling very discouraged after today’s video. If tomorrow’s video is like today’s, I probably won’t continue this challenge. I’m afraid I’m going to hurt myself.

    Wouldn’t you know I ate dinner first, mother nature came to visit and I have rolls of tummy to work off, but I enjoyed this immensely! I think I will try it again until it is easier to do! Thank you Erin!

    Haha ouuch! Nice class today! I had to modify some (following your directions for said modifications) and it made some parts more accessible for me so thanks again for your tips! I’ve enjoyed every class thus far…though why 2 ab days?!?! JK.. tomorrow will be ballin. πŸ™‚

    I sprained my ankle over labor day and am finally feeling better. ( I finished the PBYP right before the holiday.) This 10 minute class was intense. I’m feeling a little out of shape and sore but i know I’ll be happy I did this tomorrow. Thanks!
